Patricio Garino, otro argentino que persigue el sueño de jugar en la NBA

Pato podría quedar seleccionado en la segunda ronda del Draft del 23 de junio.

Patricio Garino, una de las figuras emergentes de Argentina en el pasado Preolímpico de México, se graduó en George Washington y se encuentra persiguiendo su sueño. Ya son 9 los argentinos que jugaron en la NBA y él tiene chances de ser el décimo.

Sus promedios en la temporada 2015-16 con los Colonials fueron de 14.1 puntos lanzando 42.7% en triples, 4.2 rebotes, 1.5 asistencias y 1.4 robos en 32 minutos de juego. Su equipo no logró clasificarse al March Madness de la NCAA, pero de todos modos obtuvo el primer título de postemporada en la historia de dicha Universidad.

El alero de 1.98 mts y 23 años ya practicó con Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Hornets y hoy se entrenará con el Oklahoma City Thunder. Además, el de Mar del Plata fue contactado también por Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors y Brooklyn Nets.

Los especialistas visualizan las chances del Pato, de ser elegido en el Draft del 23 de junio, en la segunda ronda. De otro modo, deberá esperar la invitación de alguna de las franquicias para disputar la liga de verano a la espera de ser fichado como agente libre.
