Lionel Messi, capitán de la Selección argentina, utilizó su cuenta de Instagram para expresar su gratitud tras la conquista de la Copa América. "Se terminó la Copa América y lo primero que quiero es agradecer a todos por los mensajes y saludos", compartió Messi con sus seguidores.
"Estoy bien, gracias a Dios, y ojalá pueda estar pronto en la cancha de nuevo disfrutando de lo que más me gusta hacer. Estoy feliz, mucho, sobre todo porque logramos el objetivo que teníamos y Fide nos deja pero con otra Copa más. Los más grandes, como él, Ota o yo, lo vivimos con especial emoción, con otros compañeros que ya llevan varios torneos y suman su experiencia también, y con una camada de jóvenes que lo dan todo en cada pelota. Somos un equipo y también una familia, un grupo espectacular", añadió el astro argentino.

Lionel Messi sufrió un esguince en el tobillo derecho durante la final contra Colombia y fue sustituido a los 66 minutos. El incidente ocurrió cuando Messi pisó mal en el sintético del Hard Rock Stadium mientras perseguía un jugador colombiano; anteriormente en el primer tiempo, ya había doblado su tobillo en un intento de querer tirar un centro.
Aunque estuvo en el festejo del título, Messi deberá someterse a estudios médicos para evaluar la gravedad de la lesión y determinar el tiempo de recuperación.
Con la obtención de la Copa América, la "Pulga", añade otro título a su impresionante carrera, alcanzando un total de 45 trofeos a nivel profesional, consolidándose como uno de los deportistas más exitosos de todos los tiempos.
