El domingo se disputó la tercera fecha del Campeonato Entrerriano de Karting en Gualeguay, donde ocurrió un accidente que, por suerte, no resultó en lesiones graves. El fotógrafo paranaense Juan Iribarren fue impactado por detrás por uno de los kartings durante una de las finales de la jornada. Afortunadamente, solo sufrió algunos golpes y quedó en observación por unas horas.

Tras el incidente, Juan Iribarren compartió su experiencia: "Fue un accidente que sucedió ayer (por el domingo) cuando estaba terminando la final de la 110 de Escuela. El chico que me impacta es Santino Stüber, que es de la localidad de Basavilbaso. Justamente estaba trabajando para él (le realiza fotos a los pilotos). Y creo que con el chico que se toca es Barrios, de la localidad de La Paz, que venían disputando una posición. Yo ya estaba volviendo porque estaban bajando la bandera y me estaba yendo a ubicar a un puesto como para hacer la foto de la grilla de la carrera siguiente. Y recibo este fuerte impacto que se ve en el video, que no lo esperaba. Pero la saqué muy barata".
Iribarren detalló cómo se sintió durante y después del choque: "En primera instancia no me di cuenta ni cuando me chocó ni nada. Después me dijeron ahí mientras me estaban cargando en la ambulancia. Así que bueno, por suerte, una desgracia con suerte, valga la redundancia. Porque podría haberla sacado mucho más, por así decirlo, más feo. Porque estos impactos en los karting por ahí te pueden quebrar las piernas porque son muy bajitos y ya he pasado accidentes fuertes. Yo corrí casi 15 años en karting y sé más o menos lo que son y lo riesgoso que es el karting".
El fotógrafo también expresó su gratitud hacia quienes lo ayudaron: "Por ahí muchas veces el karting es más riesgoso que un auto de carrera. Pero bueno, quiero principalmente agradecer a la categoría que se puso completamente a disposición mía. Agradecer a la familia, al chico que me choca porque también se puso a disposición mía. Y bueno, una pronta recuperación a él que también salió lastimado de este accidente. Que bueno, son chicos que están aprendiendo eso en el futuro del automovilismo. Tal vez tuvieron un toque ellos, un pequeño error de alguno. Y bueno, la ligue yo y no tuve nada por hacer. Tengo muchos golpes, golpe en la costilla, en la espalda, lastimada lengua, cortes en la oreja, en la frente. Pero gracias a Dios, vuelvo a repetir, la saqué barata y bueno, es así este deporte. Por ahí a los fotógrafos, hay muy pocos fotógrafos que se dediquen dentro de Entre Ríos a esto. Y estamos en esta situación por ahí de riesgo constante que tenés que estar atento. En este caso me agarró totalmente desprevenido y me sucedió esto".

Finalmente, Iribarren expresó su agradecimiento por la atención recibida: "Solamente me queda agradecer al Hospital San Antonio de Gualeguay, a la categoría, al presidente de la categoría. A todos los que me mandaron mensajes, se preocuparon. La verdad que fue algo muy fuerte y muy feo para mí. Creo que no me lo voy a borrar nunca de la cabeza la sensación esa del momento que viví".
A pesar del accidente, Iribarren logró salir ileso y agradeció a la categoría, al piloto que lo chocó y al hospital por su atención. A pesar de la experiencia traumática, sigue valorando la pasión por el automovilismo.
