Juan Martín Del Potro está en una encrucijada entre el deseo de recuperar su plenitud física para volver a jugar al tenis en el máximo nivel, y las limitaciones de su propio cuerpo, sometido los últimos años a una serie de operaciones, de algunas de las cuales no logró reponerse aún para poder cumplir el sueño de retirarse en una cancha, en lo posible durante los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2021. Mientras tanto se permite nuevas experiencias, como ocurrió el lunes, cuando participó de una charla en el primer día lectivo en el colegio Haras del Sur.
El tandilense es embajador de la institución que tiene una muy corta vida ya que abrió sus puertas en 2019, pero apuesta a un crecimiento sostenido a partir de su propuesta educativa que se basa en el lema Día tras día, lo que eliges, lo que piensas y lo que haces, es en lo que te conviertes (Heráclito (540 Ac-480 Ac), y en ese sentido fue el mensaje de Del Potro hacia los alumnos.

"Creo que los valores son lo que después, cuando uno es grande, lo aplica en la vida de todos los días. La institución ubicada en la Autovía 2, kilómetro 69 (La Plata), se refirió a la presencia de Juan Martín Del Potro como "una gran sorpresa para motivar a los chicos en este hermoso regreso a clases. La esperada vuelta fue con una gran sorpresa de nuestro embajador, Juan Martín Del Potro, motivando a los chicos desde su experiencia".
<b>El último partido</b>
La última vez que Del Potro disputó un partido oficial del circuito de la ATP fue el 19 de junio de 2019, en Queen's. Allí el tandilense perdió el equilibrio en el césped y se resintió de la lesión que arrastraba en la rótula derecha, fracturada en octubre de 2018, en Shanghai.
