Canción, camiseta especial y minuto de silencio: el Bayern Munich y 75.000 hinchas rindieron homenaje a Franz Beckenbauer este viernes, justo antes del duelo de la 17ª jornada de la Bundesliga contra el Hoffenheim.
Fallecido el domingo a los 78 años en Salzburgo (Austria), Beckenbauer fue sepultado en el cementerio del sur de Munich. El partido de este viernes fue el primero del Bayern desde la pérdida del mítico futbolista.
En una noche fría en la ciudad bávara, con casi -9 grados centígrados en el momento de inicio del partido, tuvo lugar ese primer homenaje público. El viernes de la próxima semana ese mismo recinto del Allianz Arena será escenario de otro gran homenaje.

Durante el calentamiento de este viernes, los jugadores del Bayern (que luego ganaron el partido por 3-0) llevaron una camiseta con el número 5, ligado a Beckenbauer en el imaginario colectivo.
Con Alemania, Beckenbauer ganó la Eurocopa 1972 y, sobre todo, fue campeón mundial como jugador en 1974 y como seleccionador en 1990. Con el Bayern destacaron sobre todo sus tres títulos consecutivos como campeón de Europa (1974, 1975, 1976).
A la camiseta del Bayern se le añadió la mención "Danke Franz" (Gracias Franz). Son las mismas palabras que desde el martes se pueden leer en la fachada del Allianz Arena cuando se ilumina por la noche. "Descanse en paz, Ka?iser", escribieron en las redes sociales.
Los jugadores saltaron al césped mientras por los altavoces se escuchaba la voz de un joven Franz Beckenbauer, de cuando tenía 21 años y estaba cantando "Guten Freunde kann niemand trennen" (Nadie puede separar a los buenos amigos), que el futbolista grabó después del Mundial de 1966, en el que Alemania Federal perdió contra Inglaterra en la final.
Hubo igualmente un minuto de silencio en memoria del legendario futbolista que ganó dos Balones de Oro (1972, 1976) y se emitieron videos de recuerdo.
Las camisetas y ropa del calentamiento fueron firmados y dedicados por los jugadores bávaros para ser subastados en la web de la tienda del club. El dinero recaudado se destinará a la Franz Beckenbauer Stiftung, una asociación fundada por el 'Kaiser' hace 40 años para ayudar a personas enfermas o con discapacidad.
