En las últimas horas, Barbie Vélez viajó al Caribe con parte de su familia y su novio. Aunque sus seguidores esperaban ver algunas postales románticas de la pareja en la playa, ninguno vio venir que este sería el viaje en el que decidan formalizar la relación. Tal cual confirmó Vélez en su cuenta de Instagram, Lucas Rodríguez le pidió casamiento a la actriz frente al mar.
"Estuve medio desaparecida porque me vine de viaje con mi familia, por suerte pudimos hacerlo", comenzó la actriz en Instagram apenas llegó a República Dominicana. "Decidimos incorporar a otros miembros del clan y venir este año también", añadió.
Apenas llegó a Punta Cana, la actriz le contó a sus seguidores cómo fue viajar en plena pandemia y habló del miedo que le genera hisoparse. "Estoy casi segura que si me voy a tener que hisopar, 72 horas antes de volver", señaló.
"Tengo un miedo que no les puedo explicar. Yo nunca me hisopé, pero bueno, parece que es así. Al menos que cambie algo a último momento, que lo estoy deseando con todas mis fuerzas, pero parece que hay que hacerlo, sino no te dejan subir al avión ni siquiera", manifestó.
Horas después, en una nueva publicación, Barbie confirmó que, luego de más de tres años de relación, ella y Rodríguez ahora serán marido y mujer. "¡Sí! ¡Hoy y siempre!", escribió junto a una foto de ambos, abrazados en la playa. Con el emoji de un anillo, la hija de Nazarena Vélez aclaró que aceptó la propuesta de su novio.
El viaje familiar de Barbie y Lucas había sido planeado antes de que comenzara la pandemia de coronavirus, pero pese a ello el grupo llegó a Punta Cana con todas las exigencias del protocolo para prevenir el contagio de covid-19.
