Actuación soñada para la Selección Argentina de Sóftbol U23 masculina en Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, donde coronaron una labor memorable al consagrarse campeona del Campeonato Panamericano de la especialidad, clasificatorio al Mundial.

El combinado albiceleste derrotó en la llave final a México, por un contundente 12 a 3, y así se inscribió como el primer conjunto campeón en dicho certamen.

Fue doble alegría para el equipo albiceleste ante el conjunto azteca en dos jornadas, ya que en la víspera habían firmado una brillante victoria por 3 a 0 en el cruce eliminatorio previo de playoff, que le permitió estirar el invicto y asegurar el lugar en la final.

En total fueron nueve triunfos, sobre la misma cantidad de partidos disputados, para los dirigidos por el paranaense Kevin Bolzán; ante México, en tres oportunidades (los vencieron también en el juego apertura); Colombia, Venezuela, Guatemala, República Dominicana, Panamá y Perú.

Ahora suman este trofeo a los ya conseguidos: Mundial de República Checa 2019, Panamericanos de Lima 2019 y Panamericanos de Paraná. El próximo objetivo será el Mundial en Paraná a disputarse en el mes de octubre.
